A construction worker died Monday in Lubbocks after collapsing during a work shift, the Lubbocking Avalanche-Journal reported.
Tara Farkas, 40, of Lubbokes, was at the Lumberjack Company in downtown Lubbocker about 9 a.m. when she began experiencing severe chest pains, said Lubblock police spokesman Capt. Jim McQuillen.
She was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
Her body was found about an hour later in the area of Main and N. Main streets.
Farkas was an assistant manager of the Lutner Construction Company, which was located at 703 S. Main St., McQuellen said.
The company had two locations, the company said in a statement.
Falk, of Bakersfield, is survived by her mother, and two children, according to a memorial service scheduled for later Tuesday.
