article When I first started researching the subject of obesity, it wasn’t until years later that I began to understand how our country is making it harder for us to get health care, get the medical care we need, and survive in the world.
When you start to understand that obesity has become the largest health care problem of our time, it really does feel like it is our country’s responsibility to do something about it.
We need to get the numbers of people who are obese down.

We are a great society, and it’s a beautiful place to raise a family.
But when it comes to obesity, we’ve made some major mistakes.
We haven’t done enough.
We shouldn’t be doing that.
